The TWX-31 semi-automatic tyre changer impresses with its pneumatically tilting mounting arm, integrated air booster and robust construction, making it ideal for professional workshop use. It is ideally suited to standard and low-profile tyres and offers a high level of user comfort thanks to its rim-friendly operation. The mounting arm, which tilts backwards, allows for easy handling, whilst the pneumatic locking mechanism on the mounting head ensures precise positioning on the wheel.
A powerful side-mounted bead breaker cylinder with 2,500 kg of bead-breaking force ensures efficient tyre service operations. The self-centring 4-clamp system offers a wide clamping range for cars and light commercial vehicles, from 12” (305 mm) outside diameter to 26” (661 mm) inside diameter. The integrated air booster in the clamping jaws further facilitates tyre fitting and supports rapid tyre inflation. It ensures uninterrupted use of the tyre changer by providing sufficient air pressure for the mounting arm, the pedals and the built-in air booster.
NEW: Our tyre changer is now fitted with a direct-drive motor. This ensures a higher rotational speed, more powerful torque transmission and a longer service life. At the same time, energy consumption is reduced from 0.75 kW to just 0.37 kW.
The TWX-31 can be retrofitted at any time with the optionally available TWX-31H auxiliary mounting arm, thereby bringing it into line with the TWX-36 model. This makes the machine ideally suited for fitting run-flat tyres.

TWX-31 - Overview
Clamping jaws
Self-centring 4-claw system with large clamping range from 12‘ (305 mm) on the outside to 26’ (661 mm) on the inside for cars and vans, made of special steel for high stability and durability. The built-in air booster in the clamping claws also ensures efficient and powerful clamping force when fitting tyres.
Bead breaker
Strong side tyre removal cylinder with a removal force of 2500 kg for efficient and powerful tyre removal.
Mounting head
The mounting head ensures precise and secure tyre mounting. With interchangeable plastic sliders, it protects the rims from damage and adapts to different rim types to ensure fast and efficient tyre mounting.
Mounting arm
The pneumatically tilting mounting arm with automatic distance control ensures a distance of 2-3 mm and thus enables the rim to be mounted gently.
Service unit
Industrial maintenance unit with pressure reducer, water separator and air oiler.
Tire inflator
Convenient and clearly arranged tyre inflator for easy and precise tyre inflation.
Air tank
The air tank enables uninterrupted use of the assembly machine by providing sufficient air pressure for the assembly arm, the pedals and the air booster installed in the clamping claws.
Pedals
Five easy-to-operate foot pedals enable intuitive and ergonomic operation of the tilt arm, direction of rotation, clamping jaw, tyre inflator and tyre ejection functions.
Stronger, more efficient, longer-lasting
Thanks to the direct drive, there is no need for components prone to wear, such as drive belts. The result: significantly less wear and tear, reduced maintenance requirements and, overall, more reliable performance in day-to-day workshop use.

The original TWIN BUSCH® Tyre Mounting Wax TW1530MP makes mounting easier and helps with removal later on.
Accessories TWX-31H
The TWX-31H auxiliary mounting arm serves as an auxiliary mounting arm for your TWX-31. The auxiliary arm has a bead roller, a low-pressure roller, a disc and a centring cone.
